Jason riesce nuovamente a riemergere dal lago Cristal, questa volta grazie a due ragazzi che con il loro
Yacht innavvertitamente lo riportano in vita, Jimmy e Suzi non sanno che in fondo al lago c'è veramente Jason, per
loro il Killer è una leggenda e gettando l'ancora in quel punto danneggiano un cavo elettrico che è proprio in
fondo al lago, l'elettricità che si propaga in fondo al lago farà il resto risvegliando Jason. I due ragazzi si
sarebbero dovuti imbarcare successivamente sulla nave da crociera Lazarus, per festeggiare il diploma assieme ai loro
compagni, ma verranno barbaramente uccisi da Jason che si imbarcherà lui stesso sulla nave Lazarus per fare una
carneficina. Sulla nave Lazarus Jason inizia immediatamente ad uccidere giovani ragazzi, gli unici che riescono a
resistere alla furia omicida del mostro sono Rennie e Sean, la prima è nipote del preside della scuola, il secondo
è figlio del comandante della nave.
